What happens when you mix basketball, chismis and local pride? You get the Chismis Basketball League.

The Marites Ballers are the league's biggest market and they have never once let anyone forget it. They run the fastest break in the CBL and the fastest news cycle. A story that starts in Tondo at noon is in Quiapo by one and has been denied on television by three. Every other franchise says Manila only wins because it gets there first. Manila says that is the whole sport.

Which is Manila all over. The oldest city, the loudest one, and the one that decides what the rest of the country is talking about that week.

Also from Manila: Manila - Pearl of the Orient, My Heart is Still in Manila, HAGÅTÑA → MANILA and Honolulu to Manila.
